Change is difficult

Change is a journey and will be difficult for most people to accept a change needs to happen in certain areas of theirs lives.

Many are in denial until an extenuating activating event crosses their path. Too often it takes a gut puncher or the wind knocked out of us to seriously evaluate our circumstances closer.

Ask yourself why is change so hard? It is the fear of what others will think of you, your friends aren’t doing it first or that saying, “it’s always been done like this, so why change it”??

In your current situation, do you feel stuck and frustrated? We should ask ourselves, “who are we really?”

We weren’t meant to be duplicates of one another. Our differences is what makes us unique. There are opportunities for each of us to showcase our talents, strengths, and gifts with the world.

There are those of us who like to share valuable content that educates on a certain topic, there are artists, musicians, poets, scientists, anthropologists and so many other areas that people have turned their passion into rewarding careers.

So, take what I do for instance! I’ve always wanted to be a service to others. I spent 22+ years in the healthcare industry. Once retiring from military service I still had the desire to help others.

voilà! I found myself in the health/wellness pace. Which if you told me I’d be doing this 10 years ago, I would have busted out laughing. I absolutely love what I do and I understand committing to a lifestyle change is a huge challenge for many. Listen, people are people and will only change when they are ready. The most overlooked notion is some maybe very well be happy just the way they are. What a positive mindset to have about one’s self!

However, we pretty much know how our family, friends and acquaintances feel because we see everything is posted on social media.

Just remember be a friend love everyone where they are. It just takes a little longer for others to see the benefits of what change can do whether it’s leaving a job, going back to school, stepping into a totally different industry or starting your own business.

You have got to find something that will allow you to maximize your potential, share your shine with others and surround yourself with individuals who have achieved their goals

Change is challenging for all of us, however the personal growth and coping skills gained throughout the journey is rewarding thus allowing additional life changes to be less stressful.
